This original model of a three-player backgammon set is made from a single piece of beech wood, with carved and epoxy resin-colored ornaments on three sides. Armenian ornaments are rich in a variety of motifs, types, and shapes. The game was created in Armenia in 2007 by engineer Nerses Nersisyan. It is played by three people on a specially designed three-armed board. The game uses 45 pieces, with each participant receiving 15 playing pieces—black, white, and red—and two dice. The winner is the first to remove all their pieces from the board. The entire set is handmade. It is lacquered, and the hinges and locks are cast from bronze. The playing fields of the backgammon set are made from a single piece of wood.
